Keep Me Informed

Congratulations! You've finished a rough draft of a short essay or chapter of your memoir. Now what?

This memoir writing workshop is intended for writers with previous experience with the memoir genre. Focusing specifically on the revision process, the course will use in-class and take-home exercises for honing prose and narrative structure, as well as offer each student an opportunity to share her work and give and receive feedback in a supportive and constructive atmosphere. Topics for class discussion will include ethical issues in memoir writing, creating writing groups and markets for publishing your work.

This workshop is intended for writers with previous experience with the memoir genre. Women's Memoir Writing I or a comparable course is recommended but not required. You must, however, have a work-in-progress (at least several pages long) that you will revise and polish during the course.
