In Memoriam of Denyse Snyers

Denyse Snyers was a long time champion of relationship building in higher education, bringing people of the academic world together across national boundaries and cultures.

Ms. Snyers was born in Belgium in 1921. She earned a degree in Philosophy from the University of Louvain in Belgium. She served as Director of Crossroads International Student Center in Chicago for 36 years before retiring in 1993 and moving to Wisconsin.

Ms. Snyers was also a founding member of the group Inter-Cultural Association, which was a generous contributor to the John Nuveen Center. She will be dearly missed by the entire international higher education community.
