John and Grace Nuveen International Awards 2012-2013

UIC students are invited to apply for the 2012-2013 John and Grace Nuveen International Awards. The John and Grace Nuveen International Awards have been established in honor of John and Grace Nuveen, and are intended to assist UIC students with expenses related to the OIA/Nuveen Center Exchange Program in which they are participating. For fall semesters, ten awards will be offered and for spring semesters, five awards will be offered.  Each award grants recipients $500. Awards may be used to support travel, lodging, and personal expenses related to the OIA exchange program.

Eligibility is limited to UIC undergraduate/graduate students who:

• have completed at least one year of course work as of December 14, 2012;
• have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale;
• are participating in an Office of International Affairs or John Nuveen Center international, educational program.

Students participating in Exchange Programs in all fields are eligible. Candidates must not have previously received a Nuveen International Award. Awards presume that nominees are in good academic standing.

The application deadline is Friday, April 14, 2013.
