International Education Week 2003
UIC celebrated U.S. International Education Week from November 17 - 21, 2003. In addition to an invitational luncheon, the following public events were held in celebration of international education.
International Resource Fair
Tuesday November 18, 2003, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Chicago Circle Center, Illinois Rooms A, B, & C.
The International Resource Fair provided information to the UIC community about:
International educational opportunities (study abroad and exchange programs) Foreign language classes and international studies at UIC International programs International resources available through campus units International student organizations Cultural events Chicago area international and cultural organizations

Celebration of International Education Luncheon
Given the national attention International Education Week received, UIC chose November 19, 2003, as the date for the annual UIC Celebration of International Education Luncheon honoring the diplomatic corps in Chicago. Additionally, the International Education luncheon was intended to highlight and recognize UIC's extensive programming and activities in international education.
UIC welcomed the following individuals to this luncheon:
&bull The Diplomatic Corps of Chicago
&bull UIC faculty, staff, and students
&bull Exchange students and visiting scholars

International Education Panel and Roundtable

The Faculty/Staff International Education Panel and Roundtable discussion was held in the Student Services Building (SSB), 1200 West Harrison Street (at the corner of Racine), Room A.
"Internationalization and Healthcare: International ties and the global scope of health research and training" Panel Discussion, 10:00am-11:15am.
"Building International Programs at UIC" Roundtable Discussion, 1:00pm- 2:30pm.
