Banner Upgrades and Enhancements

  1. Banner Upgrade on November 20, 2011 Banner Accounts Receivable, Finance, Finance Self-­‐Service, General, Web General, Web Tailor, Human Resources, Employee Self-­‐Service, Position Control, Student, Faculty & Advisor Self-­‐Service and Student Self-­‐Service will all be upgraded as part of this project.

  2. Banner Database Extension Utility – First Half of 2012 – The Banner database will be upgraded to add the functionality of segregating data in all tables by campus. UI will implement this feature on a table by table basis. This is needed for any Banner 9 functionality to be installed.

  3. Luminis Portal – my.UIC will be replaced by a new portal sometime during 2013. We will be implementing the SunGard Luminis portal. The first phase will include the Prospective Student Portal (PSP). Continuing students, faculty and staff will be converted in 2013.

  4. Banner 9 Faculty Self Service Grading Summer 2012- The new functionality eliminates selection of term and CRN, only includes sections with enrollments, loads valid grades, eliminates pagination, and the ability to load grades from a spreadsheet.

  5. Banner 9 – We are looking at the new Event Management and Course Catalog and Section functionality. These projects have not been scheduled at this time.
