Awards for IPRC Staff

Lora Oswald, a research assistant in the Cardiovascular Health Intervention Research and Translation Network, has been named a Paul Q. Peterson Public Health Scholar. Lora is in her second year of the master’s degree program in the School of Public Health.

Nelson Soza, an IPRC research assistant and a master’s degree student in the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, has been named a fellow in the Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois Program.

Renae Smith-Ray, a predoctoral fellow in UIC’s Gerontological Public Health Training Program who works in the Healthy Aging Network through the IPRC, has been named a Paul D. Doolen Scholar for the study of aging in 2009-2010.
