Dr. Nagy's Mineral-Water Interface Lab Website

Kathryn Nagy is a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and a joint faculty in the Institute for Environmental Science and Policy. Dr. Nagy's research interests include environmental geochemistry, mineral-water interface kinetics and thermodynamics, and mercury interactions with natural organic matter.

Kathryn earned a B.S. in Geology at the University of Delaware, M.S. in Geological Sciences at the Brown University, and a Ph.D. in Geology at the Texas A&M University. She was an Associate Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder before joining UIC in 2002.
