By their very nature, supply-chain problems are not easily solved by one discipline. Rather, the complexity of issues requires an interdisciplinary approach. Talented researchers from different disciplines within the University of Illinois at Chicago have come together to solve problems and help partners implement advanced solutions to supply-chain management issues.
The center has identified the following emerging issues and is actively engaged in researching these areas:
- Public-Private Partnerships in Transportation (Efficiency Implications)
- Economic Development and Transportation and Logistics Clusters with Emphasis on China
- Electronic Commerce and Technology in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Social Logistics (Not for Profit Logistics and Green Supply Chains)
