Sriraj's research interests are in the realm of welfare-to-work, equity, public transportation, stakeholder participation, asset management, and geo-spatial analysis in transportation. He has worked on environmental justice issues pertaining to transportation in general and public transportation in particular. Dr. Sriraj is currently working on evaluating the economic impact of targeted transportation on low-income population groups. He is also developing a spatial decision support system to study transportation and land-use problems. Dr. Sriraj has applied systems intervention techniques to complex urban problems, especially in the realm of stakeholder involvement, as well as in other socio-economic problems associated with transportation planning.
