Faculty and Staff
Faculty and Staff can help students be a part of the UIC Experience by offering
programs‚ activities‚ events‚ etc. that are approved for inclusion in the
certification program. (Please see the documentation section for the UIC Experience
certification forms).
Examples of experiences qualifying for certification include:
- Offer an internship program in your department
- Provide tutoring support to students
- Hire a student to work in your office
- Create outings to supplement classroom work‚ i.e. visit the Chicago Historical Society
- Conduct a mock court trial in class
- Encourage students to attend guest lectures‚ and then initiate discussions about topics
