Who can participate in the UIC Experience?
All undergraduate and graduate students can participate in the UIC Experience and earn the program certificate.

Why Do I have to register with CollegiateLink?
In order to have your UIC Experience Certificate recorded on your co-curricular transcript‚ you must register with CollegiateLink at http://uic.collegiatelink.net. Use your UIC Net ID and password to login. The CollegiateLink system also houses registration and information about the 300-plus student organizations on campus.

What do I get out of participating in this program?
Your participation will be noted on your UIC Co-curricular transcript! It is a great way to show your interaction with the school while expanding your knowledge. UIC is located in one of the best cities in the world and you should take advantage of what Chicago has to offer.

No. The list is endless. Check out UIC Campus Programs‚ Metromix‚ City Search websites for other ideas. Contact the Campus Programs office to see if a certain activity can be applied.

What is U-PASSPORT?
U-PASSPORT encourages students to utilize their U-PASS to explore Chicago’s many destinations. U-PASSPORT serves as a single point of contact for students to look for ideas on experiencing Chicago. Check out the website for things to do around UIC and Chicago.

Does it cost anything to participate?
No‚ it does not cost anything to earn the certificate‚ but some activities you choose may have a fee attached. Make sure you check for student rates‚ discounts and promotional days.

How long do I have to complete this program?
You have to complete all 6 activities within the same school year.

Where can I find the documentation form?
The form can be found here.
You need to fill out the form completely and provide supporting proof of engagement for each activity. Some examples of supporting evidence are: a ticket stub‚ event registration‚ signed letter‚ etc.

Can I complete the UIC Experience more than once?
Yes. You can earn one certificate for every school year you are a student at UIC.

Where do I submit my documentation materials to?
Turn in all 6 forms with the supporting evidence to Campus Programs‚ located in Room 340‚ Student Center East‚ 750 South Halsted. Your certificate will be emailed to you after all forms have been received and approved.

How do I learn more about the activities listed?
Most of the listed activities‚ as well as others‚ can be found on UIC’s website (www.uic.edu) or on the City of Chicago’s website (www.cityofchicago.org). Just search for the activity on the website or contact the appropriate office for more information.
