Hospital Pharmacy Sevices: Modern Pharmacy Practice
Learn about pharmacists and technicians in both inpatient and outpatient
settings, patient counseling, and see robotic prescription dispensing
systems in action.

UIC Police: High Tech Ways To Catch A Criminal
Be a star witness and help a police artist create a composite sketch using
a computer. Other high tech equipment and police dispatching will be
observed.

Art & Design: Creating Your Own Comic Book
UIC's very own comic book artist and author of The Circle Unleashed and Irresistible Force, Donald McQuay will help you create your own comic book. How to break into the comic book industry will also be discussed. observed.

Photo Services: Photography, Digital And Traditional:
Tour the UIC Photo Lab and Publications Services department and have the opportunity to shoot and print digital photos. Each group will also have the opportunity to create a photogram in the darkroom.

Beginning Theater Workshop: Movement And Improv
Fundamentals of acting will be taught through acting and improv games that
focus on concentration, imagination trust, and having fun. Wear loose and
comfortable clothes.

Engineering Electronic Visualization Laboratory: CAVE Virtual Reality
Experience the combination of computer science, art, and engineering in the
Virtual Reality Theater. Try out 3-D glasses and navigate through data and
images. Careers in this field will be discussed.

Office of Video Communications: Television Production Studio-Hands On
Discover what goes on behind the scenes of a television program! You will have the opportunity to particiapate in a live mock studio production. Learn how to run cameras, swithchers, audio, floor direct, and be an on-camera host and guest. comfortable clothes.

Career Services: Starting Your Portfolio
Portfolios can be key in landing great jobs, obtaining scholarships, or getting into college. After a brief tour, Career Services will outline how to create your own portfolio.

Computer Center: Design And Publish Your Own Web Page
Describe your hobbies, interests, school, family, dog–whatever you wish to
share with the rest of the World Wide Web. We'll photograph your smiling
faces and help you add the picture to your page, too!

Health and Human Development Sciences: Merging Medicine and Computers
Cutting edge medical aids! You'll get to learn how to make virtual medical models on a computer as part of the Department of Biomedical Visualization.

Counseling Center: Buffy The Problem Slayer
Do you like to help people? Are you a good listener? Are you curious? Do you want to learn more about yourself? Sounds like you'd make a good psychologist! Come to a fun and interactive workshop where you'll find out how therapy is done. You'll also make ink blots and learn what they can tell about people.

Physics: Labs In Action
Tour the Physics labs and learn what they're all about. A laser light show and biophysics demonstration will be included

Disability Services: Learn a secret language-signing and interpreting
Want to communicate without speaking a word? Have fun with an interpreter
who will teach the group how to sign, about deaf culture, and explore
careers in interpreting.
