W.O.W. Great Lakes Challenge

Women (and girls!) Out Walking on a Virtual Course

Sponsored by the Office on Women's Health - Region V , U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

This 12-week walking challenge begins Sunday, May 8 - Mother's Day - to kick off National Women's Health Week.

Register and you will receive a tracking log, weekly motivational emails, and progress updates to help you walk a virtual course across the Great Lakes states. Learn about a variety of women's health topics, too!

Each intergenerational team participant will also receive:

MEN! YOU CAN PARTICIPATE TOO!!!

 Three Ways to Participate:  

    Girl/Woman Intergenerational Teams - one girl (age 9-17) and one woman (age 18+):
    1. Each participant will receive a pedometer and a tracking log - FREE!
    2. Fun prizes will be awarded
    3. Register by April 28, 2005 or while supplies last  
    Two-Person Teams - women (age 18+):
    1. You will need to provide your own pedometer and download your tracking log
    2. Register by May 1, 2005  
    Individuals
    1. You will need to provide your own pedometer and download your tracking log
    2. Register by May 1, 2005

"Pedometers cost less than $10. Participants can get them at a sporting goods store and are also available at some fitness centers/gyms."
