LOOKING FOR MONEY IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES: HOW TO SEARCH FOR GRANT FUNDING AND BUILD A PROPOSAL

This introductory grant workshop focuses on how to locate grant opportunities on the internet to assist individuals in funding projects. Grant resources and steps on putting together a strong proposal will also be discussed. This session is geared to women who have limited experience in writing grant proposals and minimal exposure to looking for funding for their ideas.

FAD DIETS: PREPARING FOR LIFE'S JOURNEY

Attendees will learn the science/rational of popular fad diets. Learn to use key identifiers of fad diets. Be able to identify why a diet might be beneficial.

FINANCIAL STRATEGIES FOR TODAY'S WOMAN

This workshop explains the six essential strategies for reaching financial success in cash management, risk management, investment strategies, retirement strategies, and estate strategies. MOTIVATION THROUGH COMMITTEE ORIENTATION

This workshop will examine how the Chancellor's Committees function and have impacted women in the University system. How leadership qualities are “honed” and “cultured” through committee work, and how it affects your professional and personal development will also be covered. Participants will also learn how the committees can be used as a mechanism to help implement various activities within the university, be it educational, promotional, or simply universal within the context of the University.

REDUCING YOUR POTENTIAL FOR BURNOUT

Learn about the causes and forms of burnout along with risk factors. Discuss why women are at risk and distinguish burnout from stress. Participants will identify their own signals for burnout and learn practical steps for reducing or preventing burnout.
