This workshop will examine the issues women face when preparing to go back to school. Participants will explore and discuss women's roles, fears, and concerns related to time, money, and social support and how these things play a part in discouraging women's educational attainment. Participants will share strategies and develop a plan to pursue their educational goals.

Participants will examine their communication challenges, learn about current trends in communication, and gain reliable tools to be used in their writing and speaking. A casual approach through partnering, role playing, and brain storming will provide a lively workshop to improve your communication skills.  

 

PURSUING YOUR PASSIONS: UNLEASHING THE LEADER WITHIN

A workshop for women on becoming a leader through connecting with and engaging in one's passions. Through interactive exercises and coaching demonstrations, we'll explore the process of identifying and sharing one's innate gifts with the world. We will also address common obstacles inherent in the process of making passion a reality. Our goal is to challenge and inspire participants by offering both education and tools designed to create action.

 

REDUCING YOUR POTENTIAL FOR BURNOUT

Feeling burned out? Burnout can happen in any profession, but there are ways to reduce the impact of stress, and consequently, your burnout potential. This workshop will help you to better understand stress and burnout, including causes and risk factors specific to women. You will learn to assess your own potential for burning out, as well as how to take practical steps to decrease the possibility that you will.

 

IS THERAPY FOR ME?

This highly interactive workshop will walk you through assessing if getting some counseling/therapy is a good choice for you. We'll talk about the signs in our lives that tell us it might be time to get some help or talk through things with someone trained in therapy/counseling. We'll also talk about how to make that first phone call, what the first session is like, how to know if the fit is right between you and the therapist, and much more. The workshop is based on the book, “Help Me Understand: Is therapy for me?” and promises to be an uplifting, motivating use of your time.

 

CERVICAL CANCER HEALTH DISPARITIES: PREVENTION AND EARLY DETECTION
