Call for Proposals

We are now accepting proposals for workshops.
The deadline for submission is:February 10, 2012.

 

Above you will find a listing of the key words that were conceived during the committee’s theme brainstorming sessions. We encourage you to tie your workshop into this year’s theme, Synergy of Sisterhood – Breaking Barriers, Creating Alliances and to have these words guide you as you develop your proposal.

 

We are seeking workshops that facilitate active participation and discussion. Workshops should include interactive, hands-on and/or discussion activities. Instructors are encouraged to incorporate active learning strategies and to provide handouts for their participants.

All submitted proposals are reviewed by a committee.

Workshop proposals that are incomplete will not be considered.

Workshops take place during the morning (10:00-12:00) and the afternoon (1:30-3:30) so be sure to indicate which time (if any) you prefer. Although we are unable to guarantee your requested time slot, if your workshop is accepted, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.

 

Two hours are slotted for each workshop session. Excluding the few minutes it may take for participants to arrive and settle in, we encourage you to use the full time. Please allow a few minutes at the end for your participants to fill out evaluation forms.

 

Proposals will be posted on the WLRC website on a password-protected page for review by WLS committee members only.
