Welcome to the UIC Police Department web site. This site highlights many of the programs and services we provide to the UIC community. The site also contains a wealth of resources that offer detailed information on a subject of interest or may help you navigate about the campus on your next visit.
The men and women of the UIC Police Department take great pride in providing a wide range of quality law enforcement services to the faculty, staff, students and visitors in the UIC community. We are proud of our long tradition of community-based policing in partnership with members of our on and off-campus community.
As a result of these programs and services, we believe UIC to be one of the safest universities in the State of Illinois. However, as a community-based organization, we also recognize our dependence on you and hope you will assist us in working to make UIC safer by taking time to share your concerns and ideas.
The mission of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Police Department is to promote and maintain public security and order in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the United States and the state of Illinois and to promote a sense of safety and well being in the campus community.
Having said that, I invite you to browse through the following pages that describe who we are and what we do. Once again, thank you for visiting our website. If you have any questions or comments you can contact us at (312) 996-2830.
