PDP Site-Licensed Software

Over the past years, the PDP has—through the generous support of the department and faculty research grants—acquired a number of software programs that are available for faculty and graduate student use (on departmental computers).

We currently own:

SPSS 15

If you would like to install any of this software on your office machine or borrow the manuals, please contact James Nell. We are now logging software use so please sign for software suites and manuals when you borrow them.

Because departments and colleges at other universities have been audited and found to be in serious violation of licensing agreements (leading to problems similar to those experienced at UIC in connection with human subject research), it is the PDP policy to no longer provide personal copies of  software to other faculty or students. Therefore, please DO NOT ask PDP students for copies of software not on this list. Many programs can be purchased for a substantially reduced price through ACCC. See ACCC website for details:
