Resources and Financial Support

UIC is located in the heart of Chicago, a vibrant city full of educational, professional, cultural, and recreational opportunities.  The Psychology Department in the Behavioral Sciences Building is well-equipped with laboratory and computer facilities, a departmental library, and seminar rooms.  Psychology and Law faculty and students in the Psychology Department collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects with colleagues from UIC's Department of Psychiatry, Department of Criminal Justice, Institute for Juvenile Research, School of Public Health, and Prevention Research Center.  We also work closely with public agencies that deal with law.

Recent Collaborative Arrangements Link Faculty and Students at UIC with Various Organizations and Settings in the Chicago Area:

Finally, Chicago is home to many law schools with excellent law libraries, which also provides collaborative opportunities.

Financial Support:

Students typically receive financial support for four years of graduate training in the forms of fellowships, research assistantships, and teaching assistantships.  Funding is often available, if necessary, beyond four years.
