General funds that the CCSLGBTQPA receives every year cannot be given out for everything that we would like to do. Because of these restrictions, money for scholarships comes out of separate funds that have been donated to the chancellor's committee. It is because of these donations, we are allowed to award a grant every year to two students. Increased donations into these funds may allow us to increase the scholarship award or the amount of people who can receive the scholarship every year.

Undergraduate Scholarship Fund

The Undergraduate Scholarship Fund was setup to award a UIC undergraduate student who has demonstrated leadership and involvement in the promotion of a positive identity for LGBT students in the Chicago area. This fund is currently used to award one student who best meets this criteria.

Graduate Scholarship Fund

The Graduate Scholarship Fund was setup to award an UIC graduate student who has demonstrated academic excellence and contributed to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and/or Transgender research. The fund currently is used to award one student who best meets this criteria.
