Women's Leadership Symposium

Each year, the Office of Women's Affairs uses our time, resources and woman-power to organize cornerstone events that focus on the strengths of women young and old.

Our mission is to make leadership development more accessible to ALL women on campus and to address the unique issues faced by minority women.

The symposium is an all-day conference consisting of a series of workshops that address career and workplace issues, work/life balance, financial, spiritual and physical well-being, self exploration, and empowerment. Motivational speakers, raffle prizes, and great networking opportunities are also offered.

We welcome alumni from the Ivy League & Seven Sisters schools, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago, and Notre Dame and other schools with LGBTQI alumni associations forming. UIC is part of the recently formed Out Alumni in Chicago group to help support the LGBT UIC alumni.
