Scholarships

The CCSLGBTQPA currently offers one scholarship for undergraduate students and one scholarship for graduate students.

CCSLGBTQPA - Undergraduate Award $550

This award is for a UIC undergraduate student who has demonstrated leadership and involvement in the promotion of a positive identity for LGBT students through UIC and/or Chicago community. To be eligible to receive this award

•Be a UIC undergraduate student

•Promoted the interests of LGBT students on the UIC campus

•Completed the current year SAUIC common application

•Complete the required written statement

•Submit two sealed letters of recommendation from persons who can attest to your involvement and participation in LGBTQ issues and/or scholarship in the area of LGBTQ issues

CCSLGBTQPA - Graduate Award $500

This award is for a UIC graduate student who has demonstrated academic excellence and contributed to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and/or Transgender research. To be eligible to receive this award

•Be a current graduate student

•Completed at least one semester at UIC

•Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0

•Authored a paper on LGBT research in the last 3 years

•Completed the current year SAUIC common application

•Complete the required written statement

•Submit one copy of a paper authored by you in the past three years that contributes to LGBTQ research. If the paper is coauthored, all authors must apply and any award would be shared
