Fee: $10 (includes, lunch, parking, and materials); please bring cash or check; we can give you a receipt
The Summit is open to the UIC communities, Great Lakes Consortium members, and the public. Whether you have a current training curriculum or you're thinking of establishing one... we believe the Summit will be helpful for everyone.

- Best Practices on creating an Ally Program
- Activity sharing session (bring an activity you want feedback on)
- Presenting on racial, ethnic, and/or cultural-specific programs
- Ally Research data and assessment Lunch Plenary
- General problem solving/sharing session
CELEBRATE with us from 3:30-5:00 p.m.! We will feature Mark Martell and Jacob Mueller to celebrate the 10+ years of Safe Zone at UIC, and the new UIC Safe Zone logo will be revealed and people can receive new pins and stickers!
This Safe Zone/Ally Regional Summit is hosted by the Great Lakes Region of the National LGBT Higher Education Professionals Consortium (www.lgbtcampus.org). Great Lakes Regional Reps are Liz Thomson (UIC) and Shannon Jolliff-Dettore (Central Michigan University).
You'll also get to know more about the LGBT Higher Ed Consortium and recent information since Creating Change 2012 and the Higher Ed's Institute.

Parking: To get free parking, you must park in the UIC Parking Lot 9. This is located at the northeast corner of Harrison and Morgan. We will give you a parking sticker so when you exit the lot, there won't be an expense.
