Shuttle Service

A shuttle service staffed by volunteers is available for MBLGTCC participants staying at selected conference hotels during the weekend.

You will need to think ahead about using the shuttle. You can purchase $2 tickets for $2.00 (one-way) for each trip to or from your hotel. Tickets must be purchased before attempting to use the shuttle service. Drivers will not be able to take money or to sell tickets to you. Tickets are non-refundable.

Tickets can be purchased at the Hospitality table. This will be located by registration on the 2nd floor of the Circle Center. Tickets may be purchased up until 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning for those staying late for Friday night's dance, and until 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning for those staying late for Saturday night's dance.

A schedule of shuttle times and corresponding destinations is available at Hospitality.

We ask for your flexibility in using this service staffed by volunteers. There may be significant periods of waiting for our vehicles to return for their next trip (we are using small vans, sedans, and cars as the cost of buses was prohibitive).

Please consider other options:

• If you plan to travel to and from your hotel with several other attendees, consider sharing a taxi for convenience and cost effectiveness. We are requesting cab companies to line up on Halsted for your ease in access.
  
• Consider sharing a ride with those who have access to a car.
  
• Take the CTA (our public transit system).
  
• We do not recommend walking to hotels at 1:00 a.m. as area streets are rather deserted at late at night.
