CALL FOR PAPERS

The University of Cincinnati Center for Women's Studies and Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual, Transgender Task Force announce a conference on

SEX, GENDER, AND TRANSGRESSION
APRIL 13, 1996

This conference looks to the boundaries of sexuality, gender, and desire, and to
the nonconformists who transgress those boundaries.  It addresses current works
in queer theory and gay/lesbian/bi/trans studies that focus on sexuality on the
margins.  Possible topics include historical, literary, sociological,
political, and philosophical considerations of communities and identities,
discourses, and ideologies, and social mores and public policies.  We encourage
papers that complicate categories and address the fluid borders of sex, gender,
race/ethinicity, and class.

We invite papers from a wide variety of disciplines.  Send one-page proposals
