Welcome Week is a collaborative effort of the New Student and Parent Orientation Program, Campus Programs, Student Leadership Development and Volunteer Services, Student Development Services, Undergraduate Student Government, Student Member of the Board of Trustees, and the campus community to welcome new and returning students to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) during the beginning of the semester. Welcome Week offers programming and information that will help students make UIC their home while fostering connections with students, administrators, faculty and staff.
Welcome Week incorporates 11 components of the student experience: Academics, Arts & Performing Arts, Athletics, Campus Resources, Careers, Community Connections, Cultural Diversity, UIC Traditions & Pride, Social Opportunities, Student Involvement & Service, and Wellness & Recreation.
