JOB OPENINGS

 Assistant Professor Spanish. Tenure-track with specialization in Spanish
film and literature. Seeking a dynamic scholar/teacher who specializes in
Spanish Peninsular film and media studies with knowledge of 20th Century
Spanish Peninsular literature. Additional expertise might include global
or urban studies, regional literatures and cultures of Spain, and
questions of race and identity in contemporary Spanish film. Expertise in
Latin American film a plus.

Also reviewing applications for a scholar specializing in Trans-American
literatures, film and cultural criticism; Cultural Studies in the
Americas; Border Studies in literature, film and culture. Qualified
candidates must have a background in both Latin American and North
American literatures and training in Trans-American studies (which could
include Chicano and Latino literatures in English).

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in
Spanish and English. Preference will be given to qualified candidates at
the Advanced Assistant level, but beginning Assistants and ABD’s with
teaching experience will be considered. Send CV, writing sample, and three
