Program Affiliations
Affiliated programs are delivered by individual US colleges/universities, academic consortia, or third party program providers with accreditation through a US college or university ‘school of record'. Additionally, there are some universities abroad where we have direct relationships. The Forum on Education Abroad's Standards of Good Practice and Code of Ethics are two main benchmarks we use for affiliation. Although we do not normally support participation in programs that are on the US Department of State Travel Warning list, in some circumstances students are permitted to petition.
Our principle affiliations include, but are not limited to:
Alliances for Expanded Study in Overseas Programs (AESOP): a cooperative program designed to allow UIC students to participate in study abroad programs sponsored by other CIC institutions.
Alliance for Global Education: a non-profit partnership of the Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad and the Institute for Study Abroad, Butler University.
Center for Global Education (Augsburg College): for over twenty-five years CGE has offered study abroad programs around the themes of social justice and environment.
