the Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) (33-38 semester hours) or
the Comprehensive Curriculum (40-60 semester hours). Semester hour credits
for the Comprehensive Curriculum vary for each division. Should you
desire to be considered for PEP, please check the appropriate box and
provide necessary documentation. The selected division determines your
eligibility for either curriculum at the time of admission. |

To be eligible for the PEP program, students must have pre-matriculation professional education (at a Baccalaureate, Masters or Doctoral level, as appropriate to the professional field), and/or professional public health experience of at least three years and intend to pursue a public health career in the same professional area. The experience must be relevant to the field of interest at UIC-SPH. Examples of degrees which may be acceptable for consideration are the following: DDS, DO, DVM, JD, MD, ScD, PhD (e.g., microbiology, psychology, sociology), DEng, MBA, MSW, MS (e.g., entomology, nutrition, physical therapy), BS (e.g., engineering or nursing). Others may be acceptable as individually justified. Eligibility requirements may vary for each division.
