The 1998–99 Loretta Pratt Lacey Scholarship was awarded to Kingsley Onyemere, MD, a PhD student in the Community Health Sciences Division. The Lacey Scholarship provides assistance to African-American doctoral students who are committeed to working on women’s health issues. Dr. Onyemere’s dissertation research addresses ways of improving the promotion of breastfeeing among African-American women.
