The 1997-1998 Loretta Pratt Lacey Scholarship was awarded to Ernestine Hopkins, a PhD student in the Community Health Sciences Division. The Lacey Scholarship provides assistance to African-American doctoral students who are committed to working on women’s health issues. Ms. Hopkins’ dissertation addresses psychosocial and cultural factors influencing a woman’s decision to undergo mammography screening.
