Dr. Ryan has been a perinatal consultant for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment for the past 17 years. Prior to that time, she worked with two local health departments, taught in two schools of nursing, worked in in-and out-patient obstetric, pediatric, and mental health clinical settings. During these work experiences, she has been actively involved with community and system needs assessments. Publications have incorporated literature reviews and research questions that related to utilization of perinatal health care services and evaluation of those services.
