1998-99: Played in 27 of 28 games in his rookie season while earning
the starting nod in three outings…finished the year with averages of 3.0 ppg
and 1.0 rpg…improved to nearly four points a game in conference outings…enjoyed
the best game of his freshman year in the home win over Loyola on Jan. 23 as
he tallied a career-high 16 points off the bench after hitting 5-of-6 from the
field and 2-of-4 from three-point range…also added personal-bests of 4 rebounds
and 3 steals to the victory…added 4 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds to the
overtime win against Florida International.
Prep Highlights: As a senior, he led Ladue to a 21-8 record and a Suburban
East Conference title with a team-high average of 17.9 ppg to go along with
4.6 rpg and 71 steals....shot 56.1% (179-of-319) from the field and 51.1% (47-of-92)
from three-point range and was equally impressive at the charity stripe, draining
76.2% (115-of-151) of his attempts...scored a career-high 29 points in outings
versus Troy High School and DeSmet High School....was named the Suburban East
Conference Player of the Year while also garnering First Team All-State Class
4A accolades, First Team All-District and First Team All-Metro recognition...a
McDonald's All-American Honorable Mention, he finished his career as the third
leading scorer in the school's history...participated in the nationally known
Coca-Cola Shootout at the Kiel Center in St. Louis and was recognized as one
of the most athletic among the field...as a junior, he averaged 17.2 ppg and
4.7 rpg for a Ladue squad which finished 18-10 and went 8-0 in the Suburban
East Conference...shot 48% (191-of-398) from the field and 32.6% (45-of-138)
from three-point range...also contributed 47 assists, 74 steals and 20 blocked
shots...career-high 29 points came against Francis Howell High School...a member
of the Ladue All-Academic Team as a senior.
