1998-99 Highlights: In his sophomore campaign, he played in 26 of 28 games while earning the starting nod in 15 games, including the final four outings of the year…averaged 4.0 ppg and 2.8 rpg for the season and improved to 5.6 ppg and 3.7 rpg in conference action…scored in double figures five times and finished the year strong, averaging 8.0 ppg in the final five outings…tallied a career-high 18 points against Butler on Jan. 11 and bettered his performance of a week earlier with 17 points versus Wright State on Jan. 4…grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds and added 9 points against Loyola on Feb. 20…continued to improve at the free throw line all season long and shot 90.9% at the stripe in the final 11 outings of the year and finished the season at 80.3%.

1997-98 Highlights: As UIC's tallest rookie in 13 years, he saw action in 19 games while starting in home outings against Bowling Green, Butler and Wright State...averaged 1.3 ppg and 1.5 rpg while playing an average of 7.2 minutes an outing...hit 1-of-2 attempts from the field and grabbed 3 rebounds in UIC's NCAA Tournament first round game versus UNC Charlotte...scored a career-high 4 points, all at the free throw line, in the win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Feb. 14...had 2 points and 3 rebounds in just four minutes against Loyola on Jan. 24...hit 3-of-4 free throws against Valparaiso on Dec. 13 to finish with 3 points and 1 rebound in 10 minutes...played 18 minutes and had 3 points and a career-high 5 rebounds in the win at Northern Illinois on Dec. 2...hit just 50.0% (4-of-8) at the free throw line through the first eight games of the season, but improved to 82.4% (14-of-17) in the final 19 games of the regular season.

Prep Highlights: As a senior, was the Bears' top rebounder with 8.2 rpg while his 39 rejections in 27 games also led the squad...finished second in the scoring department with 12.6 ppg and helped Lake Zurich to an 18-9 record and a second-place finish in the Fox Valley Conference race...shot 49.6% (131-of-264) from the field and 71.3% (77-of-108) at the charity stripe...hit in double digits 21 times and had eight "double-double" outings during the year...tallied a season-high 22 points on two occasions while his career-high rebounding effort was 15...earned Fox Valley All-Conference honors and was awarded the NBA Sportsmanship Award...selected to the Northwest Herald All-Star Team...as a junior, he averaged 9.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg as the Bears captured a share of the Fox Valley Conference championship and a regional title...transferred to Lake Zurich after playing his first two seasons of basketball at Elmwood Park High School...a member of the National Honor Society, he was also presented the Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Award from the U.S. Marine Corps...also played football and threw the discus for the track team.
