WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SIGNS HALL, LOSES WAWRZYNIAK

The University of Illinois at Chicago signed Consuela Hall (Childersburg, Ala./Childersburg) Head Coach Tim Eatman announced today. Eatman also announced that center Dominika Wawrzyniak (Morton Grove, Ill./Niles West) has left the team.

Hall, a 5-4 guard, was a four-time all-area and all-county player at Childersburg High School. Last season, she led her team to a 15-7 record. Hall was named the team’s MVP in each of the past two campaigns.

Wawrzyniak played in 15 games as a freshman in 1998-99 and contributed 0.5 points and 1.0 rebounds per outing.

The Flames return just five players from last year's 5-22 team. Eatman welcomes eight newcomers to the fold for the 1999-2000 season. Those newcomers have been labeled as the 20th-best class in the nation according to The All-Star Girls Report Newsletter.
