Prep: Three-year letterwinner at Opelousas High School in Opelousas.
La…was a two-time all-state and a four-time all-district performer…helped team
to three-straight district championships (1995-97)…team earned a berth in the
Louisiana State Tournament in 1996…also lettered two years as a high jumper
on the track and field team.
