1998-99: Played in all 27 games, starting in 22...UIC's
leading
three-point bomber, nailed 41 triples, matching her career total, which
tied her for sixth in the MCC...graduates ranked seventh on the UIC
all-time three-point field goal list (82) and fourth in three-point field
goals attempted (318)...opened the season with five straight double-figure
scoring performances, totaled 10 on the year...named to the Pepsi Shootout
All-Tournament Team during that span, after averaging 12.5 ppg in contests
with Wyoming and Brigham Young...scored 15 points, including a game-tying
three-pointer in the Flames' win over Chicago State...tied her career high
with 18 points versus Wisconsin-Green Bay on Feb. 25, hitting 4-of-4 from
behind the three-point arc and recording a career high with seven field
goals made in the game...tied her career best of six rebounds and added
nine points in UIC's win over Boston University on Dec. 13...registered a
career-high five steals at Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Feb. 27...converted a
career-best 5-of-6 free throws versus Evansville on Dec. 19...matched her
career total with 27 steals.
1997-98: Slowed by various injuries throughout the course
of the
season...missed four games with a stress fracture...starter in five
contests...averaged 5.0 ppg...accounted for a career-high 18 points on
6-of-10 shooting from the field including 4-of-5 from three-point range at
Drake...made her first start of the year at Butler and contributed 15
points and a pair of assists...dished out three assists at
Detroit...scored eight points and snagged four rebounds versus
Kentucky...had six points and five rebounds versus Butler at the MCC
Championship...ranks ninth on the UIC all-time three-point field goals
list with 41 treys.
1996-97: Played in all 27 contests, earning nine
starts...fourth on the
team in scoring at 5.0 ppg...made her final 16 free throw attempts of the
season and shot .944 (17-for-18) from the foul line in MCC action...came
off the bench in the season opener at Northwestern to score six points,
grab two rebounds and pass for four assists while committing just one
turnover...had the first of her four season-high 13-point outings in the
win over Loyola Marymount...scored 10 points in overtime win versus Wright
State...hit the game tying three-pointer from the right corner with six
seconds remaining in regulation to force the overtime...instrumental in
victory over Cleveland State as she accounted for 13 points and four
rebounds...snagged six Loyola misfires in loss to the Ramblers...also
grabbed six boards in only 16 minutes of playing time versus Northern
Illinois...played a career-best 41 minutes in the overtime win against
Loyola...had 13 points, five assists, three steals and five rebounds in
that game as well...scored 13 points and had four assists and three
rebounds versus Butler.
1995-96: Appeared in 21 games in her rookie season...scored
season- high
eight points, shooting 4-for-8 from the floor, in 14 minutes against
Northwestern...played season-high 16 minutes against DePaul...scored seven
points in only eight minutes against Oral Roberts.
HIGH SCHOOL: After being named one the top 50 players in the
Chicagoland
area in the pre-season by the Chicago Sun-Times, Westrom provided
West
Chicago with 13.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 4.0 apg and 3.5 steals...named to the
Daily Herald All-Area team, all-state special mention, and was the
unanimous conference MVP...led her team to a 17-8 record and a regional
championship.
