RANKED FLAMES:

LAST TIME OUT:

The Flames began a five meet road swing with an impressive victory at the University of Illinois. With Iowa and Illinois State also competing, UIC posted a team total of 192.650 to finish ahead of all three schools. SCOUTING THE COMPETITION:

When head coach Peter Jansson's squad travels to Norman, Oklahoma on Sunday, it will mark the Flames first meeting with a nationally ranked opponent. The #19 Sooner are coming off a second place finish, registering a team total of 191.350 at the Rocky Mountain Invitational last weekend. Amber McCracken captured the all-around title for the Sooners with a final total of 39.050. Oklahoma hosts Denver, winners of the Rocky Mountain Invitational, on Fri., Jan. 29, then welcome the Flames to the Lloyd Noble Center on Sunday.

ON THE BALL:

Sophomore co-captain Kim Ball recorded a career-high 9.850, while taking first place on the floor exercise on Saturday. her score also tied teammate Jenn Frederick for the team-high on the floor exercise this season.

GABRIELLA THE GREAT:

Gabriella Brunn didn't hit a 9.900 like she did versus Northern Illinois, but her 9.750 was good enough to take the vault title at Illinois on Saturday. Teammate Amy August placed second on the vault with a 9.725.
