1998: UIC's most accomplished vaulter…tallied four top finishes
on the
vault during the season…named to the women's All-State and All-Conference
team on the vault…was also named All-Conference for the floor
exercise…shattered the school record on the vault with a perfect score of
9.900 at Western Michigan…also took first on the floor exercise with a
9.850 at the meet…grabbed the conference championship on the vault at the
Midwest Independent Championships with a 9.875…also tied Jennifer
Frederick for first on the floor exercise with a 9.875 at the
meet…followed that up by winning the NIT championship on the vault,
scoring a 9.800…honored as a member of the Scholastics All-State and
All-Conference team.
1997: She equaled a school record on the vault after landing
a
9.825 at
the California Invitational on January 17 before teammate Tara Rhoden
broke the mark with a 9.85 in early March…shared first place on the vault
at the Illinois Classic after scoring a 9.70 and finished third on the
floor exercise behind teammates Emily McKee and Rhoden with a 9.775…at the
Midwest Independent Championships had the Flames' high vault score with a
9.75 and tied for third overall on the event…contributed a 9.725 to UIC's
school-record vault score of 48.650 against Illinois State in early March.
Personal/Prep: Comes to UIC from Tyreso, Sweden…was the
Swedish National
All-Around Champion in 1995…represented Sweden on the national team at the
European and World Championships…majoring in Graphic Design…born July 7,
1977… daughter of Staffan and Siw Brunn.
