1998: As a freshman proved to be one of UIC's top all-around
performers…placed fifth in all-around competition in her first meet at
Auburn with a score of 37.125…also placed first on the balance beam at
Auburn with a 9.750…took first on the floor exercise versus Michigan St.
with a 9.850…finished firstin the balance beam versus S.E. Missouri St.
with a 9.725…grabbed two top finishes at Northern illinois, with a 9.775
on the uneven bars, and a 9.825 on the balance beam…set a career high with
a 9.900 on the floor exercise at Illinois, finishing first…tied the school
record on the balance beam with a 9.900, en route to a share of the
conference championship at the Midwest Independent Championships…earned a
spot on the balance beam All-Conference team.
Personal/Prep: Competed at USGF club from 1987-97…qualified
at level nine
and ten for state and regional competition for eight years of career while
also qualifying for a national team one year…posted high school career
highs of 9.125 on vault, 9.45 on parallel bars, 9.475 on beam, and 9.325
on floor exercise…majoring in Accounting…born February 13, 1979…daughter
of William and Marilyn Casica.
