Prior to UIC: Only Army gymnast to qualify in two events at 1997 NCAA East Regional Championships in high bar and pommel horse where he recorded three consecutive 9.4's on the high bar competed in several events freshman year recording highs of 9.25 on high bar, 9.1 on parallel bars, 9.15 on pommel horse and 9.05 on vault.

Personal/Prep: Lettered three years at Glenbrook North as an all-arounder helped team win three conference and state titles as a senior, named state parallel bars champion, recording the third-highest score with a 9.50 captured floor exercise championship title with a score of 9.50 recorded fifth best all-around performance score of 55.55..... born December 21, 1976......son of Alan and Mary Bush..... majoring in Exercise Physiology in the School of Kinesiology.

Last season Mike was a very important part of the Flames program. Michael led the team on pommel horse. Attempting to qualify to the NCAA Regional Michael was edged out on all three of his events by a very close margin. UIC looks to Michael as a leader in their attempt to return to the East Regional!
