1999 Student Assistant Coach

1997: Capped off an outstanding Senior season with his forth trip to the NCAA East Regional Championships, competing on the parallel bars where he scored a 9.20 and finished in 10th place at the NCAA East Regionals, had UIC's top score on the parallel bars with a career-high 9.65 as well as on the floor exercise with a 9.55...also tallied a 9.50 on the horizontal bar at the Regionals... had a season-high on the floor with a 9.55...personal-best scores of 9.70 on the pommel horse in 1997 and 9.75 on the horizontal bar in three different occasions at a dual meet against William & Mary then at Air Force and New Mexico in 1998.

1999: Carey joins the UIC's coaching staff as a 5th year senior majoring in Nutrition. Exhausting his athletic eligibility Carey will be responsible for the conditioning program as well as walk-on coordinator. His duties will be to assist all walk-ons with their college experience both in and out of the gym. He will as deal with the day to day problems that may surface. Carey will be a very positive leader.

Personal/ Prep: Was an alternate on the Junior Olympic National Team Class One in 1994 and took second place on the floor exercise...received the Bart Connor Spirit Award...1998 received the Edward Jay Saleh Memorial Scholarship.....majoring in Nutrition...born March 29, 1976...son of Clovis and Carol Reddick.
