The interview starts when you arrive in the building; you never know who you might meet in the elevator! Show respect for everyone; the receptionist's opinion can make or break your offer.
Be confident but not overbearing. How do you gain confidence? Prepare and practice. Prepare by knowing who you are and what you can do. Practice over and over until you're confident in your ability to do the job. Generally, when you arrive you need to start with a firm handshake and introduction with the interviewer(s), sit up straight, speak in a clear voice, don't fidget or move around a lot - interviewers watch body language, do not speak any slang terms, and stay alert and maintain eye contact with the interviewer(s) throughout the entire interview.
Be honest, be enthusiastic and communicate clearly. Don't mumble. Instead, answer the questions clearly.
If you get nervous, it's ok! It's normal to get nervous, but be sincere and express your emotions during the interview. Take a couple deep breaths & don't forget to make good eye contact.
