Prepping for Summer
We’re pleased you decided to enroll in UIC’s Summer Session. Taking classes at UIC as a visiting student in the summer is a pretty simple process. To help you keep track of the important steps and details, we’ve put together this checklist.
Getting Admitted
All visiting students need to apply and be admitted non-degree before they can register for classes. For information on applying, go to the Applying page.
Before You Can Register
- Will the course I want to take transfer?
- Do UIC’s course prerequisites apply to me?
- Does the course require a placement test?
- Do I need to provide proof of immunization?
Registering
Summer Session Only students register online during Open Registration. Information about Time Tickets is emailed beginning in mid-April. Your Time Ticket tells you the earliest date and time that you can register.
Open Registration for 4-week session: April 26 – May 16
Open Registration for 8-week session: April 26 – June 13
