The cost of your summer courses is determined by the following features:
- Range tuition – UIC assesses tuition in ranges rather than by individual credit hour. In summer, the ranges are:
Range I: 6 or more credit hours
Range II: 3-5 credit hours
Range III: 1-2 credit hours
Range IV: 0 credit hours
- Non-guaranteed Tuition – UIC has guaranteed tuition rates for degree-seeking students. However as non-degree students, Summer Session Only students pay the non-guaranteed rate.
- Fees & Assessments – The total cost of attendance at UIC includes tuition, fees, and assessments. Although your tuition and assessment is based on your credit hours, every enrolled student is charged a set amount of fees.
- Residency – Residents of Illinois pay the in-state tuition rate. Non-residents pay the out- of-state rate. For University policy governing residency, check Residency Requirements. If you believe you are eligible for resident tuition, please submit a copy of your permanent resident card to the Office of Admissions. You can fax it to the attention of Special Programs/Summer Session Only at (312) 413-7628 or to (312) 996-2953. If you prefer to mail it, send it to: University of Illinois at Chicago Office of Admissions and Records (MC 018), Box 6020, Chicago, IL 60680-6020, Attention: Special Programs/Summer Session Only.
