Writing and Grammar Workshop
Writing
clearly and accurately is an essential skill for academic
and professional success. Making grammar errors in professional
and academic writing can be a concern for non-native English
speakers despite many years of studying.
Learning
how to produce concise, clear and error-free writing is
the focus of this 6-week workshop. Explanation and review
of grammar concepts will be combined with proofreading and
independent writing tasks. This workshop is designed for
high-intermediate to advanced level non-native English speakers.

Review grammar concepts that most frequently cause errors
in non-native speaker writing
- Identify
and correct grammar errors in writing through editing
and proofreading practice
- Learn
the organization of business correspondence, résumés,
abstracts, process and simple academic reports
- Learn
techniques to write for maximum clarity and effectiveness
- Create
a 'checklist' of your most frequent grammar errors for
more effective self-monitoring and correction
