Advanced
Pronunciation and Communication Skills
This
course focuses on pronunciation and speech modification
techniques. The basic elements of clear oral communication--consonant
and vowel sounds, stress, rhythm, intonation, and pitch--are
discussed, analyzed, and practiced. The course helps participants
identify individual areas which need improvement and develop
strategies for change.
- Learn
the pronunciation, intonation, and stress patterns of
standard American English
- Practice
techniques and strategies to make spoken English clearer
and more effective
- Build
fluency and confidence in social and professional speaking
situations
- Get
individual feedback from an experienced instructor through
video and audio cassette work
