Advanced Pronunciation Skills
This course focuses on pronunciation and speech modification techniques. The basic elements of clear oral communication--consonant and vowel sounds, stress, rhythm, intonation, and pitch--are discussed, analyzed, and practiced. The course helps participants identify individual areas which need improvement and develop strategies for change.
During this course, you will:
- Learn the pronunciation, intonation, and stress patterns of standard American English
- Practice techniques and strategies to make spoken English clearer and more effective
- Build fluency and confidence in social and professional speaking situations
- Discuss American cultural practices and current events
