Classes and Schedules

	Fall and Spring	Summer
Levels 1,2,3,4: Reading/Writing	2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.	9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Level 5 only: Advanced Academic Skills	2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.	9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Levels 1,2,3,4: Listening/Speaking	5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.	12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Level 5 only: Advanced Language Applications	5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.	12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Hours of Instruction	20 hours per week 13 weeks	25 hours per week 10 weeks

 

In the Reading/ Writing Class students work on

• Reading

• Study skills

In the Listening/ Speaking Class students work on

• Listening
• Pronunciation
• Grammar
• Vocabulary
• Conversation
• Cultural awareness

In Level 5, students work on many skills in each class. There is more focus on writing in Advanced Academic Skills and more focus on speaking in Advanced Language Applications.
