Program Description
Homestays
The
Tutorium offers a Homestay program through OvECS (a private
company). Homestay is an opportunity to live in a home with
an American family located near your school. You will be
able to experience the American lifestyle and culture up
close, and practice your English language skills in the
world's greatest classroom, the home. Host families provide
a private bedroom and private or shared bath plus breakfast
and another meal everyday. "Host families" can
be families with children, couples without children, or
single people. Some have pets and some do not; some live
very close to the campus and some do not. Student who choose
the homestay option pay $200 for the homestay placement
fee (non-refundable) and then $750 per month for the room
and meals.
Even
if you plan to stay in an apartment, you can choose a homestay
for the first several months while you make friends, find
roommates, become familiar with the area, and have time
to choose the righ off-campus housing.

a homestay, your first step is to complete the application
form and submit it to OvECS.
