at the Tutorium

Excellent
Preparation for the TOEFL iBT
Integrated listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The intensive program offers excellent preparation for success
with English in the TOEFL iBT and with English anywhere.
For example, Tutorium students
- learn
how to summarize information and state an opinion in both
speaking and writing
- learn
how to find main ideas quickly and make inferences in
both reading and listening
- improve
grammar and vocabulary while practicing all four skills
- use
technology to develop the four skills
And
Tutorium students benefit from our integrated skills curriculum:
- every
class combines skills: reading with writing, listening
with speaking
- daily
exercises combine skills: reading with speaking, listening
with writing
- courses
at the high advanced level integrate all four skills
Integrated
skills may be new for the TOEFL iBT, but they're not new
for the Tutorium. Since the early 1990s our program has
been based on integrated skills. Our curriculum is both
current and proven, and our students benefit from our experience.
Institutional
Testing Program (ITP) TOEFL
Students in levels 3-5 take the ITP TOEFL as a part of the
regular intensive program at no extra charge.
TOEFL
iBT Preparation Course
This course meets once a week in the computer lab. The classes
are small and led by a professional English language instructor
who has extensive experience with the TOEFL iBT. In class,
students discuss and practice all four skills and gain valuable
individual feedback from the instructor. (This course is
separate from the intensive program.)
TOEFL
iBT Test Location
The Tutorium is an official TOEFL iBT Test Location. So
all Tutorium students have class and practice time in the
same computer lab where the official TOEFL iBT is administered.
